Engineered Artworks is a Bay Area-based art fabrication studio specializing in large-scale sculpture, public art, and kinetic installations.

Their team of artists, engineers, and fabricators partners with artists, architects, developers, and civic agencies to bring bold ideas to life from initial concept through technical design, fabrication, and installation.

Aspen Grove, Denver, CO

Engineered Artworks fabricated and installed Aspen Grove, a climbable public sculpture on Denver’s 16th Street Mall. Designed as an immersive steel grove with a suspended sanctuary, the piece invites play and reflection while supporting the city’s broader placemaking efforts.

Dragonfly, Art Car Kinetic Sculpture for Burning Man 2024

Commissioned by Lucid Dreams for Burning Man 2024, Dragonfly is a kinetic art car designed and fabricated by Engineered Artworks. Featuring a steel exoskeleton and programmable LED lighting, the sculpture transforms from a striking daytime form to a fully immersive light experience by night.

Resilience, Norfolk, VA

Installed at the entrance to Norfolk’s Five Points Park, Resilience is a large-scale public sculpture composed of 23 steel blades of grass forming a unified circle—a symbol of strength, flexibility, and collective support.

“I wanted to create a piece that represented the interconnectedness of the neighborhood,” says lead artist Sean Orlando. “When we come together as a community to support each other with common purpose, we are stronger.”
