Apply to CODAworx Emerging Artist Program

CODAworx is proud to announce the 2025 Emerging Artist Program, recognizing three promising creative professionals who are new to the field of commissioned artwork. Designed to uplift artists with less than three years of experience in public or commissioned art, the program highlights those exploring new technologies, experimental materials, and fresh approaches to creative practice.

Applications are now open, with a deadline of July 25, 2025.

This year’s juror is Caitlin Berry, Inaugural Director of the Irene and Richard Frary Gallery at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center. Berry will be looking for artists whose work reflects originality, innovation, and the potential to shape the future of our creative landscape.

Award recipients will receive:

• A $750 cash award
• Free registration to CODAsummit 2025, Washington, D.C., September 24–26
• Formal recognition at the EPSON Reception at Arena Stage on Thursday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m.

Sponsored by EPSON, a long-time supporter of CODAworx and the creative community, the program offers early-career artists a unique opportunity to gain visibility and connect with leaders in the field of public and commissioned art.
