Bringing Public Art Home: Introducing Print-on-Demand for CODAworx Members

When a work of public art is installed—on a city street, at a festival, or within a building—it becomes part of a shared landscape. It is experienced by those who pass by, those who happen upon it, those who are there in that moment. And while those encounters can be powerful, they are also fleeting.

Even when images of that work are shared—on CODAworx, across social media, in newsletters, or through press coverage—the audience remains surprisingly limited. For artwork that often takes years to conceive, fund, and realize, its visual life can feel all too brief.

Over the past year, at CODAworx, we have been thinking deeply about this. One realization kept surfacing: for the most part, people don’t get to live with these extraordinary works. They don’t get to wake up to them, reflect on them, or experience them as part of their daily environment. And as a result, too few people come to know the artists behind them.

The CODAworx mission has always been to connect the key players in the public art ecosystem and to democratize the commissioning process. That work continues. But in 2026, we are expanding our focus—toward digital content, broader visibility, and new pathways for sustainability.

Quite simply, we want to see your work on the walls and screens of the spaces where people live and work.

To support this vision, we are excited to introduce a new benefit for upgraded members: CODAworx Print-on-Demand.

This new service transforms the images already in a CODAworx portfolio into beautifully crafted, customizable framed prints that collectors can purchase directly—creating a new and effortless revenue stream from work you’ve already created.

Getting started is simple. Members send CODAworx the images they wish to offer as prints. CODAworx then provides marketing materials and a link to the E-commerce site for the artists to share those works through their own channels—websites, newsletters, and social media. CODAworx manages the entire process behind the scenes, including ecommerce, production, and fulfillment.

Collectors can personalize their selections by choosing size, matting, and frame options, resulting in a finished piece designed for their space. Revenue from each sale is shared, providing artists with revenue while expanding the reach of their work.

CODAworx continues to look for ways to increase exposure to public art and to create recurring revenue streams for our members, providing greater return on investment for their work.
