DFW Airport Announces Two New Public Art Commissions for Terminal C

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is undergoing a historic $12 billion expansion, its largest investment since the airport’s opening in 1974.  Acting as an art consultant and strategic partner, MASSIVart has collaborated with DFW to redefine the passenger experience by integrating impactful art into the airport’s modernization.

DFW has announced the selection of two acclaimed artists for major new public art commissions in its reimagined Terminal C—part of the airport’s ambitious “DFW Forward” modernization plan. Los Angeles–based artist Pae White and Dallas-based artist Jen Rose have been chosen to create large-scale, site-specific works that will welcome millions of travelers each year.

These installations mark the first commissions in DFW’s expansive plan to grow its public art program. Currently home to about 30 permanent works, the airport intends to increase its collection by roughly 60% over the next six years, adding at least 17 new installations across multiple terminals.
