With 12,089 projects in the CODAworx Project Library and 20,862 creative listings in the Creative Directory, CODAworx is one of the most robust public art platforms in the world. Now, a new Location feature makes it easier than ever to search both by geography — whether you're sourcing art for a specific region, researching what's been built in a particular city and state, or discovering artists close to your project site.
To filter projects by country, click the Location button at the top of the Project Library and select your country from the dropdown menu. Selecting Australia, for example, surfaces 141 projects — including Moving Colour - Linewide Graphic Trail by Moving Colour Studio, the largest public artwork in the Southern Hemisphere.
For more targeted searches, click All Filters in the upper right corner. From there, you can layer location with medium or type of artwork category. Want to find abstract and figurative sculpture installed in Texas? Select Sculpture: Abstract and Sculpture: Figurative, then scroll to Location and choose United States → Texas. You'll find 174 projects, including Journey by The Art Studio at RDG Planning & Design.
The same filtering power applies when searching for artists and other creative professionals. Looking for artists based in Michigan? Under All Filters, select Artists, then narrow by Country, State, and City. That search returns 175 results, including Detroit-based April Wagner, whose work Two Songs: Paul and Orville is a standout.
Need someone closer to a specific project site? Add a radius. Filtering for artists within 100 miles of San Francisco returns 812 creatives — including Romo Studios, whose Illuminated Manuscript exemplifies the depth of talent available regionally.
Location search is live now. Start exploring at CODAworx.com and have fun doing so!
