On the first day of CODAsummit in Santa Fe, four hundred of public art's most devoted champions gathered at La Fonda on the Plaza for the **CODAawards Celebration Luncheon**, a celebration as joyful as it was heartfelt. CODAawards Co-founder Ilene Shaw opened the program with a brief history of the awards, recalling how a bold idea grew into one of the industry's most cherished traditions. Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for: one by one, videos of each of the winning projects were shown; then, each of the fourteen winners stepped forward to receive their awards, and shared a few words with the colleagues, friends, and fellow creators who had come to honor them. What followed was a room alive with applause, gratitude, and the unmistakable pride of a community that celebrates its own.
