Introducing Design Boards: A New Tool for Curating Public Art

CODAworx has introduced a new member benefit designed to make it easier than ever to collect, organize, and share inspiring public art: Design Boards.

Design Boards allow CODAworx members to save their favorite works from across the CODAworx platform and organize them into curated collections. Whether gathering ideas for a client presentation, researching materials and media, or simply collecting inspiration, Design Boards provide a flexible way to keep everything in one place.

Getting started is simple. Head to the Project Library (which you find in the top nav bar under Hire). When you see a project that interests you, click on the SAVE button in the lower right-hand corner of the project tile.

This opens a screen with the title Save to Design Boards. Click Add to Design Boards, and give your new board a name. Voila, you have your first Design Board! From here on out, you can continue to add other projects to this board by going through this same process, or add additional boards with other names.

When you click on a Design Board in your collection, it brings up a view of all the projects on the board. You can jump to the full project by simply clicking on an image pinned on the Board. If you want to share this Design Board, add the email address and click the Send Invite button. If you want to send to multiple folks, do this same thing for each individual, or copy the Design Board URL and send it via a normal email.

Members can create multiple boards, organizing them however they wish—by client, project type, artistic medium, thematic ideas, or personal inspiration. Once assembled, boards can easily be shared with clients and colleagues, even if those recipients do not have a CODAworx membership, making them a powerful tool for collaboration and presentation.

All Design Boards are accessible through your My Profile page, allowing members to revisit, refine, and expand their collections over time. You can also access your design boards from the Project Library page via the View Saved Projects button at the top of the page.

Having favorite images collected on a Design Board isn't just a powerful tool for communicating with clients and colleagues – it is a time-tested way of refining and clarifying an aesthetic—something that, in this era of unprecedented visual overload, is more important than ever for creative professionals. With the launch of Design Boards, CODAworx continues to expand the ways its platform supports creative discovery, collaboration, and the development of great public art.
