Each year, it is our distinct honor to present our list of Creative Revolutionaries — artists, commissioners, and practitioners who provide the vision, connections, and practical leadership needed to turn ambition into impact. Many of those recognized here were nominated by their peers, underscoring not only excellence, but influence within the field. This year’s honorees reflect a powerful shift in public art: moving beyond design toward civic engagement, environmental storytelling, social connection, and technological immersion. Through wildly different practices, the 2026 Creative Revolutionaries expand how we see our public realm — and our role within it. They make us optimistic about what’s possible, and purposeful about how we shape the future in times of rapid change.
