Each month, CODAworx welcomes new artists, commissioners, and fabricators who are redefining what’s possible in public art. This week, we’re spotlighting three standout new members whose recent projects showcase exceptional creativity, craftsmanship, and community impact. From immersive installations to architectural collaborations, their work embodies the spirit of innovation that drives the CODAworx network forward.

Oyler Wu Collaborative

This Los Angeles-based design studio, founded in 2004 by Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu, brings an inventive architectural approach to public art. Their practice merges art, architecture, installation, and material innovation, with an emphasis on site-awareness and human engagement.

At the heart of their work is a fascination with material and process. Their work embeds public art components into architecture, engaging the public both physically and conceptually. It invites passersby to reconsider the infrastructure of everyday spaces, and to experience unexpected encounters with form.

The Exchange is a redesign of a plaza adjacent to the Irwin Conference Center by Eero Saarinen in Columbus, IN. It’s a contemporary design on a historic building.

Ann Marie Schneider

As an artist, collaborator, and consultant in Seattle, WA, Ann Marie creates site-specific public art and interpretive projects. Her work combines artistic vision, scientific literacy, and technical execution to create seamlessly integrated, place-based solutions that connect people and planet while addressing contemporary challenges. Delivering engaging work to diverse audiences is her focus.

Ann Marie’s Chatham Garden Gates project used local watershed and geologic data to visualize the site’s relationship to its greater ecological context.
