#### **The Urban Congacollaborated with Jacksonville Symphony**

![A CAPPELLA Uploaded by The Urban Conga 2](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/A%20CAPPELLA%20Uploaded%20by%20The%20Urban%20Conga%202.webp?width=6000&height=4000&name=A%20CAPPELLA%20Uploaded%20by%20The%20Urban%20Conga%202.webp)

[A Cappella](https://www.codaworx.com/projects/a-cappella-29039) was developed as a part of a new music heritage garden that sits along the St Johns River right behind the Jacksonville Symphony. The flowing form of the work and how it interacts with the space is inspired by the structure of a symphony. The work is organized into four sections inspired by the four movements of a symphony. Each movement is shaped by a tempo, emotion, and theme, embodied in the selected song lyrics, creating distinct experiences tied to the themes of motivation, home, love, and freedom, respectively. Together, these sections tell the story of Jacksonville as a symphony composed of many voices, generations, and perspectives.

"Heartscape" is downtown's newest piece of public art. It is the newest permanent addition to the Columbus Commons. Designed by New York-based Mark Reigelman, a Cleveland native, the sculpture is meant to celebrate the commons as "the city's shared backyard.” This project was commissioned by Downtown Columbus Inc., which manages the Commons.

This sculpture replaces the entrance fountain leading into the Commons from High Street. Reigelman crafted the sculpture out of steel, cutting its design with a water jet.It stands 13 feet tall and 13 feet wide, with two sheets of 3/4-inch steel weighing 1,800 pounds. He worked on it for a year, collaborating with local shops for the sculpture's metal, transportation, painting and project management.
