Registration Open for CODAsummit 2026: Join Us in Santa Fe

Registration is officially open for CODAsummit 2026, and this year we’re gathering in one of the most inspiring cultural landscapes in the country: Santa Fe, New Mexico, September 29–October 1.

Where high desert light meets centuries of creativity, Santa Fe offers a setting that feels made for public art — layered, expressive, and deeply connected to place. From adobe architecture and Indigenous traditions to contemporary installations and experimental spaces, the city invites us to slow down, look closer, and imagine bigger.

This year’s gathering will take place at the iconic La Fonda on the Plaza, the only hotel located directly on Santa Fe’s historic Plaza. With roots tracing back more than 400 years, La Fonda has long been a crossroads for artists, writers, and cultural leaders. Its rich Southwestern character and central location — within walking distance of museums, galleries, and renowned restaurants — make it an ideal home base for three days of conversation, discovery, and connection.

CODAsummit is designed to spark curiosity, build relationships, and generate creative momentum across the public art field. The program will reflect the richness and complexity of our industry, featuring leading commissioners, artists, fabricators, technologists, and civic leaders.

Attendees can expect:
  • A program showcasing the makers behind the magic — artists and teams sharing how their work drives activism, amplifies community voices, and reshapes public space
  • Meaningful connections with commissioners and civic leaders from every sector
  • Explorations of cutting-edge fabrication and technology that turn ambitious concepts into reality
  • Curated public art tours throughout Santa Fe
  • Artist showcases and creative industry presentations
  • The celebrated CODAawards ceremony
  • Networking receptions, keynote presentations, spotlight panels — and, of course, unforgettable parties

CODAsummit is where conversations turn into collaborations — and collaborations turn into landmark projects.

Super Early Bird registration is now live. Basic+, Pro, and Premium members may contact members@codaworx.com to receive their discount code.

Help Shape the Program

As we build this year’s agenda, we are inviting content ideas from the CODAworx community.

In Washington, DC last year, our Roundtables were the most popular sessions, with rooms full and overflowing. In response, we’re expanding to four Roundtables in Santa Fe and are seeking critical topics that deserve focused conversation within our field.

We are also looking to spotlight entrepreneurial public art projects — initiatives created outside the traditional commission process, where artists and creative professionals originated the idea and found innovative ways to bring it to life.

In addition, CODAworx is partnering with SciArt Santa Fe to present a special track titled Coherence, exploring projects at the intersection of art, science, design, light, and consciousness. Those interested in being considered for a presentation are invited to submit a short description and images.

We are actively shaping the program now, and the sooner ideas are submitted, the better the opportunity for thoughtful consideration.

Join us in Santa Fe this fall — and help shape the conversations that will define the future of public art.
