Stadiums are some of the busiest public spaces in the country, which makes them an unbeatable gallery. After all, what better way to expose the public to outstanding art than in such an energetic environment? Stadiums have always been about spectacle, and these six CODAworx projects prove the art can compete with the action. #### Shattered Uploaded by Brad Oldham Sculpture ![Shattered Uploaded by Brad Oldham Sculpture2](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Shattered%20Uploaded%20by%20Brad%20Oldham%20Sculpture2.webp?width=5213&height=3475&name=Shattered%20Uploaded%20by%20Brad%20Oldham%20Sculpture2.webp) "[Shattered](https://codaworx.com/projects/shattered-28900)" is a distinctive, mixed-media public art installation designed and created by renowned Dallas-based sculptors Brad Oldham and Christy Coltrin of Brad Oldham Sculpture. Created in collaboration with O&H Brand Design, the piece was installed in 2020 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, as a major feature of the Texas Rangers' stadium art collection. Installed in 2021, the permanent structure stands as a centerpoint at the historic American Legion Memorial Stadium in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte), North Carolina. It explicitly honors United States veterans and their families. #### Telstar Uploaded by Studio Roso ![Telstar Uploaded by Rolf Knudsen](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Telstar%20Uploaded%20by%20Rolf%20Knudsen.webp?width=2200&height=1467&name=Telstar%20Uploaded%20by%20Rolf%20Knudsen.webp) "[Telstar](https://codaworx.com/projects/telstar-22304)" is a monumental public sculpture created by the Danish interdisciplinary design practice Studio Roso (founded by Sophie Nielsen and Rolf Knudsen). Installed in 2018 outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium at Gate 1 (near The Home Depot Backyard) in Atlanta, Georgia, the massive structure celebrates the global phenomenon of soccer, the growth of the sport in the United States, and the arrival of the Major League Soccer franchise Atlanta United. #### *Two Worlds Colliding: Water & Land* by Tony Albert Uploaded by Cultural Capital + Amanda Jeilich-Kane ![Two Worlds Colliding- Water & Land by Tony Albert Uploaded by Amanda Jelicich-Kane](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Two%20Worlds%20Colliding-%20Water%20%26%20Land%20by%20Tony%20Albert%20Uploaded%20by%20Amanda%20Jelicich-Kane.webp?width=3810&height=2856&name=Two%20Worlds%20Colliding-%20Water%20%26%20Land%20by%20Tony%20Albert%20Uploaded%20by%20Amanda%20Jelicich-Kane.webp) "[Two Worlds Colliding: Water & Land](https://codaworx.com/projects/two-worlds-colliding-water-land-by-tony-albert-21408)" is a monumental, large-scale public art installation designed by award-winning Indigenous Australian contemporary artist Tony Albert. Commissioned in 2021 by Infrastructure NSW and curated by Cultural Capital, the artwork uses the entire 42,500-seat bowl of Sydney’s Allianz Stadium (Sydney Football Stadium) as a massive canvas. The integrated design completely weaves First Nations storytelling into the structural fabric of the venue.  #### Bounce Uploaded by Liz Taylor and Bollinger Atelier ![Bounce Uploaded by Bollinger Atelier](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Bounce%20Uploaded%20by%20Bollinger%20Atelier.webp?width=8164&height=6123&name=Bounce%20Uploaded%20by%20Bollinger%20Atelier.webp) "Bounce" is a large-scale public sculptural installation designed by experiential designer and public artist Liz Taylor, founder of Liz Taylor Creative. Installed alongside its sister piece, "Swing", the artwork serves as a gateway landmark at the first-base entrance of Surprise Stadium, a premier Major League Baseball spring training facility located in Surprise, Arizona (shared by the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals).  #### "Make Some Noise" Uploaded by Allied Art Studio ![Make Some Noise Uploaded by Allied Art Studio](https://knowledge.codaworx.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Make%20Some%20Noise%20Uploaded%20by%20Allied%20Art%20Studio.webp?width=1200&height=1599&name=Make%20Some%20Noise%20Uploaded%20by%20Allied%20Art%20Studio.webp) **"[Make Some Noise](https://codaworx.com/projects/make-some-noise-33096)"** is a 2026 public art sculpture created by Allied Art Studio, a collaborative partnership between artists Bethany Krull and Jesse Walp. Inspired by the sound waves created when thousands of Bills fans cheer together, the sculpture uses 336 aluminum tubes to create a pulsing, kinetic form that echoes the iconic yellow goalposts of the original stadium. Measuring approximately 18 feet in diameter and weighing between 1,900 and 2,300 pounds, the installation was designed to capture the energy, anticipation, and collective voice of game day. Completed and installed in August 2026, “Make Some Noise!” hangs in the 716 Club, where fans can experience the installation from multiple levels as they move through the stadium. As part of the Buffalo Bills Public Art Program, the piece is one of many permanent installations designed to celebrate artists, community, and Western New York.
