Create, Publish & Manage Your Projects

Add completed work to your CODAworx portfolio so commissioners can discover your projects and you can reuse them in applications.

Creating a Project

From your CODAworx profile, begin creating a new project and enter information about the work you want to showcase.

Choose projects that accurately represent your practice and the types of commissions you would like to pursue.

Add Project Information

Complete as much relevant project information as possible.

Depending on the project, this may include:

  • Project title
  • Description
  • Location
  • Completion date
  • Project budget
  • Physical dimensions
  • Type of work
  • Medium
  • Setting
  • Purpose
  • Theme
  • Other relevant categories or keywords

These details are not only descriptive. Commissioners can search and filter the Project Library using project information.

For example, CODAworx has identified budget as one of the most frequently used Project Library filters. A project without budget information may not appear when someone performs a budget-filtered search. If an exact amount is confidential or unavailable, provide an appropriate general representation when possible.

Add Images or Video

Use strong media that clearly represents the finished work.

Choose images or video that help someone understand:

  • What the artwork looks like
  • Its scale
  • How it interacts with its environment
  • Important details or materials

Your project page should allow a commissioner who has never seen the work in person to quickly understand what you created.

Publish Your Project

When your project information is complete, publish it so it can become part of your public portfolio and be discoverable where applicable.

Before publishing, review:

  • Project title
  • Description
  • Media
  • Budget
  • Location
  • Completion information
  • Categories and other searchable details

Complete projects can appear in more relevant searches throughout the Project Library.

Edit an Existing Project

If you need to change a published project:

  1. Sign in to CODAworx.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Find the project you want to update.
  4. Click the three-dot menu on the project.
  5. Select Move to Draft.
  6. Open the menu again and select Edit Project.
  7. Make your changes.
  8. Save your changes.
  9. Republish the project when you're ready.

Moving a project to Draft allows you to edit its information before publishing it again.

Use Projects in Applications

Projects can also save you time when applying to Open Calls hosted on CODAworx.

When an application asks for work samples, you may have the option to choose Add Project from CODAworx Library and use a project you've already created.

If you instead upload a new work sample while completing an application, that sample is also saved to your profile as a Draft Project. You can return later to complete and publish it as part of your portfolio.
