SiteWorks Illuminates New Sherwood Pedestrian Bridge with Dynamic Light Installation

SiteWorks, led by long-time CODAworx member Vicki Scuri, has unveiled its latest public art project in Sherwood, Oregon—a vibrant lighting installation that transforms the city’s new pedestrian bridge into a landmark of community pride.

Working in collaboration with the KPFF engineering team, Scuri created 20 custom lighting shows designed to wash the bridge in shifting color. Each program responds to the rhythm of local life, celebrating seasonal changes, holidays, and community events. The result is a dynamic artwork that brings motion, emotion, and identity to an important new civic space.

Scuri describes the project as an opportunity to unite functional infrastructure with expressive design, enhancing public safety while elevating the pedestrian experience. The lighting sequences offer residents and visitors an ever-changing visual encounter—one that reflects Sherwood’s character and strengthens the bridge’s role as a gathering point and gateway.

Scuri notes that the installation embodies SiteWorks’ mission to create meaningful, place-based public art. The Sherwood bridge now stands as a luminous beacon, celebrating creativity and connection within this growing Oregon city.
