The Mercantile Immersive Launches in Cincinnati

Blockhouse Studios, a longtime CODAworx member known for pushing the boundaries of immersive design, has unveiled The Mercantile Immersive—the nation’s newest high-tech event space located in the heart of Cincinnati, Ohio.

This groundbreaking venue redefines what an event experience can be, blending cutting-edge technology, dynamic art, and cinematic storytelling into a fully immersive environment. Every inch of the space is designed to transform—walls become canvases for projection mapping, soundscapes respond to movement, and lighting morphs in real time to create deeply engaging, multi-sensory experiences.

The Mercantile Immersive will serve as a venue for corporate events, live performances, exhibitions, and creative productions that invite participants to step into new worlds. Built by the team at Blockhouse Studios, renowned for their work in interactive and experiential media, the space is both a technical marvel and a creative playground for artists and producers alike.

By merging art and innovation, The Mercantile Immersive marks a new chapter in the evolution of experiential spaces—where storytelling and technology unite to transport audiences beyond the ordinary.

Mercantile-Immersive-20

The Mercantile Immersive is a new 360° experiential venue in Cincinnati’s historic Mercantile Building. Using floor-to-ceiling LED displays and advanced spatial audio, the space can transform instantly into cinematic environments—mountain vistas, starfields, lush gardens, and more. It’s a hybrid of art installation, event venue, and digital theater, built to make gatherings feel immersive, memorable, and unlike any other venue.

The Mercantile Immersive is a collaboration between Blockhouse Studios, the Midwest’s premier digital art installation company, and DelightMore, Cincinnati’s leading event design and hospitality group. Together, the two organizations have created a seamless environment where aesthetic vision meets exceptional service. Guests can host receptions, performances, private dinners, galas, and community events with in-house catering and technical production already integrated into the space. The result is a venue that anticipates needs before they arise—an elegant, fully engineered canvas ready to be shaped around the story of each event.

The venue features two adjoining immersive rooms, each wrapped in millions of high-resolution LED pixels. Every surface becomes an active storytelling element: walls, floor, ceiling, and soundscape work as one. Programmable lighting and spatial audio allow artists, performers, and event designers to build textured environments that shift in tone, mood, and perspective. Live camera feeds and presentation capabilities make it equally suited for artistic premieres, immersive theater, brand activations, or milestone celebrations.

For Blockhouse Studios, whose work spans large-scale projection mapping, feature-quality cinematography, and digital exhibition design, The Mercantile Immersive represents a new category of events space, one that is highly flexible, and fully accessible to the public through events and programming. For DelightMore, it is an evolution of hospitality, an opportunity to bring people together inside experiences they will remember vividly, emotionally, and long after the night concludes. In Cincinnati and beyond, The Mercantile Immersive stands as an invitation to wonder, to gather, to see a space become a story.
