Public Art Projects from CODAworx Creative Revolutionaries
When CODAworx named this year’s class of Creative Revolutionaries in January, the designation was less a verdict than an invitation, a prompt to look more closely at artists, commissioners, and public art professionals whose work was already reshaping what public art could be and do. Now well into the year, the call remains all the more urgent to keep this conversation going. The projects these honorees have brought into the world accumulate meaning quietly, through materials chosen with intention, sites activated with care, and communities drawn into something larger than themselves. This is the final collection of the work behind the recognition, and at what it means to make art that genuinely changes things:
First kiss at last light by Alex Chinneck

First Kiss at Last Light is a surreal public art installation by acclaimed British sculptor Alex Chinneck. Presented by the non-profit public art organization EXMURO, the piece is permanently installed in Montmorency Park within the historic district of Old Québec, Canada
The Glasgow Rose

The Glasgow Rose is a monumental public art installation suspended from the historic Finnieston Crane over the River Clyde. Unveiled to mark the opening of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the massive 10-meter-wide sculpture was designed by local artist Emer Tumilty in collaboration with the internationally renowned creative studio NEWSUBSTANCE, helmed by 2026 Creative Revolutionary Patrick O'Mahony.
SIFT Pavilion

SIFT is an immersive, multisensory architectural pavilion designed by architect and artist Suchi Reddy, founder of the New York-based firm Reddymade. Debuted in January 2026 at the Architecture and Design Film Festival (ADFF:STIR) in Mumbai, India, the temporary installation was supported by Godrej Properties Ltd and hosted within the festival's Jaquar Pavilion Park
Peninsula University Hospital

T Projects Global Ltd served as the lead public art curators for the massive $1.1 billion Frankston Hospital Redevelopment, officially renamed Peninsula University Hospital in Victoria, Australia. Appointed by the Exemplar Health consortium, T Projects developed a comprehensive arts program integrated into the hospital's interior and landscape design, creating therapeutic spaces shaped by community connection. The project features four major site-specific public art commissions tailored to themes of healing, resilience, and local ecology:
Big Art Loop

The Big Art Loop is an ambitious public art initiative transforming San Francisco, California into a massive open-air gallery. This citywide project is a major public-private partnership, with all production, curatorial matching, and complex technical installation operations managed by the prominent arts agency BUILDING 180, founded by 2026 Creative Revolutionaries Shannon Riley and Meredith Winner. Broward Public Art & Design XR

The Broward Arts Metaverse (BAM) is a groundbreaking, web-based Extended Reality (XR) platform developed through a partnership between the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program and the digital technology firm IMX3. Recognized as the world's first comprehensive public art collection hosted inside the metaverse, this open-access spatial platform enables global users to explore virtual "digital twins" of major public art installations across South Florida using any web-connected device, phone, or VR headset without requiring an app download.
The Perennials, Blue Line Corridor, Downtown Largo Metro Station

The Perennials is a groundbreaking, eco-conscious public art installation located at the Downtown Largo Metro Station in Prince George's County, Maryland.
